William Randolph Hearst, III. was bornon 18 June 1949 in United States. William R. Hearst III, a grandson of publishing magnate William Randolph Hearst, is a board member of Hearst Corp. and an heir to the family fortune. Hearst Corp. owns newspapers, magazines, radio stations and stakes in cable TV channels Lifetime, A&E and ESPN, the latter being the most lucrative: Hearst's 20% share in the sports channel and its offshoots is worth over $11 billion. In July, Hearst Corp. and Disney agreed to buy Comcast's 15.8% slice of A&E in a deal worth $3 billion. The company is owned by a trust that makes annual distributions to William Randolph Hearst's heirs.The family also owns significant real estate, much of it in California, including Hearst Castle in San Simeon. Will Hearst is a partner emeritus at Silicon Valley venture capital firm Kleiner, Perkins Caufield & Byers. He was editor and publisher of the San Francisco Examiner newspaper from 1984 to 1995.
