He has been the chairman and president since 1976 and the CEO since the retirement of Glen Senk in 2012. At a net worth of $1.8 billion, Hayne is the 262nd richest person in the U.S., according to the 2008 Forbes 400 ranking of the 400 richest Americans by net worth. He is included in the Top 40 richest people in Pennsylvania.Hayne is a 1969 graduate of Lehigh University with a degree in anthropology.He co-founded Urban Outfitters, Inc., in 1970 with former wife, Judy Wicks. The couple divorced a year later. The first store was located on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania.
