Lowell Milken is the younger brother and the former right-hand man of Michael Milken, who expanded the market for high-yield junk bonds while at investment bank Drexel Burnham Lambert in the 1980s. Lowell is the chairman and partial owner of Heron International, a London-based real estate firm that has developed buildings in the business districts of 9 large cities, including London, and also invests in and manages properties. He cofounded education firm Knowledge Universe in the mid 1990s. In 2015, Knowledge Universe sold its early childhood education business to private equity firm Partners Group for an undisclosed sum.
