Keshub Mahindra was bornon 9 October 1923 in India. Keshub Mahindra stepped down as chairman of Mahindra & Mahindra after 48 years at the helm, handing charge to nephew Anand Mahindra. He got a standing ovation at his last shareholders' meeting in August. Wharton grad, he joined the company in 1947, two years after it was started by his father and uncle. He is now chairman emeritus of the $15.4 billion (sales) group. He's also keen on photography.
He retired as chairman in August 2012 after heading the Group for nearly five decades, handing over the position to his nephew, Anand Mahindra
