Jerry Yang was bornon 6 November 1968 in Taipei, United States, is Cofounder, Yahoo. Jerry Yang is #917 in List Billionaires People In The World. At Stanford, Jerry Yang earned a B.S. and M.S. in electrical engineering, then dropped out of a Ph.D. program to found Yahoo with David Filo in 1995. Yang served as Yahoo's CEO but stepped down in 2009 after turning down an acquisition offer from Microsoft. He left Yahoo's board in 2012. Yang championed Yahoo's move to buy a stake in China's e-commerce giant Alibaba for $1 billion in 2005; it grew to be worth more than 50 times that. In June 2017, Yahoo completed the sale of its core operating business to Verizon for $4.8 billion in cash. Since 2012, Yang has invested in more than 50 data-related startups through AME Cloud Ventures. He also sits on the board of software firm Workday.
