Horacio Cartes was bornon 5 July 1956 in Asunción, Paraguayan, is President of Paraguay. Horacio Cartes is a Paraguayan businessman and the present President of Paraguay. He has been an extremely successful entrepreneur who ultimately found his way into politics and became President of his country. His businesses and manufacturing companies have spanned into virtually every trade available in Paraguay, gaining him vast control over most markets. His career has been marred with various scandals, investigations and allegations although he does not have a criminal record and has been acquitted of all the charges. Because of his control over businesses and markets along with the vast fortune he has made, his move to contest presidential elections raised concerns regarding a conflict of interest.
