Andrei Kuzyaev was born in Russia. Andrei Kuzyaev returns to the Forbes Billionaires list after dropping off for three years. Today his assets are mostly in telecommunications. His Perm Financial Industrial Group (PFIG) owns ER-Telecom Holding, the second-largest operator of broadband Internet access in Russia, after Rostelecom. In late 2013 ER-Telecom was set to buy Moscow's Acado from billionaire Victor Vekselberg, but the deal fell through. Instead, in early 2014 ER-Telecom bought another Internet service provider, St. Petersburg's InterZet. In the early '90s Kuzyaev founded the Perm commodity exchange, which became PFIG. The group's main asset was a joint venture with Lukoil, Lukoil-Perm, which he sold to Lukoil in 2003. He has remained president of LUKOIL Overseas Holding, which handles the company's projects outside Russia, and he is vice president of LUKOIL Group.
